VAMPIRES

Keri Arthur - Riley Jensen series

Jennifer says:
Great series about Riley Jensen, she is half werewolf and half vamp. Nice plot and some hotness to go with the action.

Jeaniene Frost - Night Huntress World series

Jennifer says:
A “spin off” series from the Night Huntress series. The 1st book came out in January 2010 and it was great.

MaryJanice Davidson - Queen Betsy series

Rachel says:
It is funny and quirky. It is like a vampire meets Legally Blonde kind of thing.

L.J. Smith - Vampire Diaries

This is being made into a TV Series on CW

J.R. Ward's - Black Dagger Brotherhood series

What Kristin had to say:
I highly recommend. J.R. Ward's "Black Dagger Brotherhood series." The first of seven books is called "Dark Lover," The first book is good and the second and third are even better. The series is all about a brotherhood of vampires destined to protect & save their race from a bunch of vampire killing, impotent deadbeats known as "lessers." Each book is dedicated to a vampire in the brotherhood. There are some steamy hot romance scenes.

Tanya Huff - The Blood Line Series

Jennifer says:
"The TV series is not very good but the books are."

Chelsea Quinn Yarbro - The St. Germain Series

Jennifer says:
It's Historical Fiction too

Christopher Moore's - Vampire Books

Jennifer says:
"These are laugh out loud funny"

Ellen Schreiber - Vampire Kisses series

Francheska says:
It's a little on the mild side, definitely for teens but no matter what, it is nicely done. Good drama and lots of romance--it captures one's first love perfectly :)

Christopher Pike - The Last Vampire series

Sara says:
The Last Vampire series is not like Sookie or Queen Betsy; its more dark and serious like Interview with the Vampire but it is good. The main character is a woman vampire and she can kick major a**.

Lynsay Sands - Argeneau Vampire series

Kim says:
They are also humorous and there is a very different take on what a vampire actually is in this series.

Sherrilyn Kenyon - Dark-Hunter series

NightScream says:
What attracted me a lot is that its a diffrent take on the vamp mythos (that they are the cursed decendents of Apollo. And are forced to suck the souls from humans or die on their 27th birthday by slowly and painfully turning to dust over a period of 24 hours.)and is full of Greek Mythology. Most of the boods take place in New Orleans. Its contemporary and have a lot of LOL moments for me. If you like the Sookie books you will probably like this series as well.

Richelle Mead - Vampire Academy series

Jennifer says:
It’s young adult but still good!

Lara Adrian - Midnight Breed series

Jennifer says:
If you like the Black Dagger Brotherhood by JR Ward you will like this series too!

Jennifer Turner - Eternal Seduction

Jennifer says:
Great book. She is working on a 2nd and I believe there will be 4 or 5 in all.

Jeaniene Frost - Night Huntress

Laurell Hamilton - Anita Blake series

Darlene says:
Althought her current releases have been nothing more than graphic sex, I would definitely recommend the books 1-9 to anyone else. After that, it goes downhill.

Robert M. Place - Vampire Tarot

Darlene says:
Robert M Place recently held an interview on Occult of Personality podcast which detailed the importance of the vampire character in society

Guillermo del Toro - The Strain (trilogy)

Darlene says:
del Toro combines a lot of aspects of old, traditional vampiric lore into the mix. No romance at all, though!

Jennifer Armintrout - Blood Ties series

Raven Hart - Savannah Vampires

SHIFTERS

Patricia Briggs - Mercy Thompson Series

Brandi and Luz both love this series.

Patricia Briggs - Alpha and Omega Series

Shelly Laurenston - Pride series

Jennifer says:
If you like the Magnus series you must check this one out too. Both are GREAT series!

Shelly Laurenston - Magnus Pack series

Jennifer says:
This series has humor, action and SEX! LOVE IT!!

Rachel Vincent - WereCat series

Jennifer says:
This series has some adult content but it’s close to YA too. LOVE IT! Can’t wait for the next book.

Kelley Armstrong - Women of the Underworld

Jennifer says:
"Not just vampires but really good."

FAE

Karen Marie Moning - Fever Series

Danyelle says:
It is an exploration of the Fae world, it dives into the Druids and seers. The main character is an average girl thrown into a world were she fights for her life and the fate of the world everyday. The first book is free on Amazon Kindle (so you can read it on your phones), or you can listen to it from iTunes for free as well!

WITCHES/GODDESSES

Nora Roberts - The Key Trilogy

Kim says:
It is full of mythology and it is very humorous. I laughed from book to book even in the midst of all that was happening.

DEMONS
Nora Roberts - Sign of Seven Trilogy
ANGELS

Larissa Ione - Demonica series

Jennifer says:
A series that is REALLY GOOD and has some story on “angels” is the Demonica series by Larissa Ione. The latest book Ecstasy Unveiled, the main chick and love interest for the main guy is an angel. This series is VERY HOT and sexy. Every ADULT.

JR Ward - Covet

Jennifer says:
A new "fallen angel" series.
OTHER SUPERNATURAL

Sunny - Monere: Children of the Moon series

Jennifer says:
This series is VERY HOT and sexy. Every ADULT.
